Purpose


The MWCD grant program seeks to empower women and children in India by providing them with access to education, healthcare, protection, and rehabilitation services. The grants aim to support NGOs' efforts in addressing social issues related to gender inequality, child marriage, child trafficking, and violence against women and children.


Interventions


Education: MWCD supports NGOs working towards bridging the gender gap in education, especially in rural areas. These NGOs receive grants to provide educational support to girls, including scholarships, training programs, and mentoring.


Health and Nutrition: MWCD provides grants to NGOs working towards improving maternal and child health and nutrition in India. These NGOs offer healthcare services, nutrition support, and awareness campaigns to pregnant women, lactating mothers, and children under the age of six.


Protection and Empowerment: MWCD provides grants to NGOs working towards preventing child marriage, child trafficking, and other forms of exploitation of women and children. These NGOs receive support to empower women and children to live a life of dignity and respect.


Rehabilitation and Resettlement: MWCD provides grants to NGOs working towards rehabilitating and resettling women and children who have been victims of violence or abuse. These NGOs offer support to help them rebuild their lives, including counseling, legal assistance, and vocational training.
