Grant Alert:- Organization: DWF Foundation

The Foundation has been the focus of charitable giving for DWF and reflects DWF values and culture of contribution. As of December 2021, the Foundation had distributed grants totaling over £745,000 to good causes. Those grants were made possible by DWF's fundraising activities and donations. All operating costs associated with runnin

g the Foundation are covered by DWF, so every penny raised goes to support good causes. The vision is to encourage all if the people within DWF and to work together as a catalyst for change. The DWF Foundation will provide funds, resources and support to help communities achieve their full potential.

Last date of Application:- There are no deadlines for applications and requests can be submitted at any time.


Purpose :-

The DWF Foundation has the sole aim of providing funds, resources and mentoring support to help individuals, groups and communities to achieve their full potential. All operating costs associated with running the Foundation are covered by DWF, so every penny raised goes to support good causes. Today, through the combined philanthropic efforts of both DWF and the DWF Foundation, opportunities are being created for people to believe, inspire and change.


Interventions :-


These themes also align to DWF's purpose and enable them to work together to maximize the support given to communities.

Grants are given to initiatives that develop and improve local communities by:

  • Tackling a specific community issue.

  • Helping voluntary and community groups become more effective and efficient.

  • Encouraging the involvement in the community of those too often excluded.

  • Enabling young people to develop skills for the benefit of the community.

All grants are calculated in £ sterling. For international locations the grant will be paid in the local currency. The Foundation does not have a minimum grant size but the majority of their grants will fall under £5,000. Due to the funds DWF have available the DWF Foundation will not fund multi-year grants. DWF however have a cur off point for the next meeting the application will be considered, please see the timetable for it


Eligibility Criteria for NGOS :-


The DWF Foundation will welcome applications from registered charities only. Applications are welcome from charities working in countries in which there is a DWF presence. On the application form please include your countries appropriate registered charity or not for profit number. Other than by country DWF do not have any other geographic restrictions for example, your project does not need to be within a certain distance of a DWF office.


Only requests received via the online application process will be considered. The DWF Foundation supports registered charities with an impact in one or more of the following areas:

  • Homelessness

  • Health and wellbeing

  • Employability

  • Education

  • Environment and Sustainability

Hence, Applications will be entertained based on above themes only. It is not essential in your application that you have a staff reference you can apply without reference. Charities receiving funding from us should allow 12 months to elapse from our last grant award before making a new application.
